More than 1,000 grams of marijuana found
Two Lenoir City men are facing charges after police
found a slew of drugs July 8 at their residence in Lenoir City.
Loudon County Sheriff’s Office Inv. Jamie Ketner was
contacted by an official from state probation in reference to a
probation search. Ketner, LCSO Agent Cody Fritts, 9th Judicial
District Drug Task Force Agent April Farmer and Tennessee Department
of Correction made contact with Collin Payce Bennett, 20, at his
home. Joshua Lee Thompson, 26, also lives at the residence but was
not home at the time of the team’s arrival.
Upon arrival, Ketner noticed a strong odor of
marijuana coming from one of the back bedrooms. With further
investigation, Ketner discovered 22 bags of marijuana “weighing
approximately 1,119 grams, 3.5 oxycodone, .2 grams of
methamphetamine, digital scales; $1,975 in U.S. currency and one
SCCY 9mm pistol was inside a backpack located in the attic
entrance,” Ketner wrote in his report. Several boxes of ammunition
were also located in the back bedroom with documents that had
Thompson’s name on them.

Arden was met with a victim who claimed he had been chased away from
his sister’s residence by a group of men and was in fear of his
safety. Arden arrived at the victim’s sister’s house to find a white
GMC Yukon with Ohio registration with a male sleeping in the
passenger seat. As Arden approached the vehicle, Dison walked from
the porch. Arden ordered Dison to come closer, but he turned away
and walked back to the porch where Arden “heard a heavy object
impact the decking,” according to a report. Arden approached the
porch after Dison’s hands were ordered to be visible and found a
black pistol and a 40-caliber bullet. With closer inspection, Arden
noticed the serial number was removed from the pistol’s frame. Dison
denied having any knowledge of the firearm. Dison’s phone screen was
visible while Arden was speaking to Dison, and a text that Dison had
sent was observed, stating, “Get the gun off the porch” to a
resident in the home. A check on the registration revealed the Yukon
was stolen out of Ohio on July 7. The car’s keys were in Dison’s

Marshall Lynn was notified of a gray sedan on Interstate 75
southbound that was driving erratically. En route to the vehicle,
Lynn noticed the car had blown a tire and was on the side of the
road. Lynn and LCSO Deputy Charlie Huskin located the vehicle and
made contact with the driver, identified as Nordan. Lynn noticed
Nordan had glassy, bloodshot eyes, slow, mumbled speech and was easy
confused by simple questions. After agreeing to standardized field
sobriety tests, Nordan performed poorly. Nordan stated he had taken
oxycodone. Huskins inventoried the vehicle and observed a small
cloth bag with plastic baggies and a marijuana grinder. The 9th
Judicial Drug Task Force was called, and the cloth bag was tested
and proven to contain “294 hits of a substance that tested positive
